Sitcoms have really evolved since the turn of the century, bringing us everything from the absurdity of "The Office" to the heartfelt moments in "Parks and Recreation." I’ve been binging a lot of modern sitcoms lately and it got me thinking, what do you all consider the best sitcoms of the 21st century?

For me, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" really stands out for its clever writing and diverse cast. Plus, the character development over its run was so enjoyable. I’m also a huge fan of the way "Schitt's Creek" embraced its characters' growth and acceptance.

But I know everyone has different tastes. Are you more into the absurd comedy of "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia," or the genre-bending humor of "Ted Lasso"?

Let’s hear your favorites and why they resonate with you!

Totally get where you’re coming from with "Brooklyn Nine-Nine", the character arcs were spot on, especially how they dealt with themes of identity and acceptance alongside the laughs. I’d throw "The Good Place" into the mix too. It's got that wild high-concept premise but manages to hit you right in the feels while keeping the humor sharp. The way they explored ethics and morality in a sitcom format was mind-blowing!

And yeah, while I love the absurdity of "It’s Always Sunny," I think it’s sometimes too over-the-top for my taste. "Ted Lasso" really nailed that feel-good vibe, though! It’s like a warm hug wrapped in comedy. What do you think makes "Schitt's Creek" resonate so much, is it just the writing or the way they portray relationships?
