Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion

Yeah, I absolutely love the D-pads on these suckers. Especially given how small the 360's pad is. A friend bought the Akuma one for the PS2 and I just fell in love how comfortable the controller felt. I never went to the arcades without it if I knew a Tekken 5 machine was nearby. I also psyched a few people out once with the Resident Evil 4 chainsaw controller once, it was a hilarious experience to say the least.

Apparently the 360/PS2 ones allow for switching the pad to take over for the Analog sticks as well so single player mode may not be impossible to play with one of these bad boys...

What characters does everyone prefer to play as? I usually use Asuka or Hwoarang myself though I have been getting acquainted with Lili's moves since I got DR for the PSP months back. I love playing as Kuma though I suck at him for the most part.

Asuka's been my main ever since DR. Hworang was my main up until Tekken 4. I've been practicing using Lili and Bob lately as well

I love the tweaks made to her one sweeping combo replacing the cartwheel kick with a high kick that juggles is just prodigious in every meaning of the word.

I was literally, "Hey, what is- OH! OH!"

I'm upset they moved Hwoarang's one thrusting kick to the end of a combo but it was a cheap as hell move.

I'm just bummed it seems as thoguh the AI isn't any harder than DR for the PSP. Still beats the pants off of 5's AI just taking Asuka's charging spin kick.

I got Tekken 6 for the PS3 last Saturday. Sadly though, Ive been too busy to truly dive into it. Ive mostly played matches with my brother. Ive tried online mode and though i could notice the lag, it wasnt unplayable to the point of frustration. I tried Scenario Campaign for a bit, man that thing is a drag. Its a 3D brawler trapped in 2D controls. Soo freakin frustrating. But i gotta truck through to get the goods.

So far, Im loving Tekken 6. Ive had Tekken 3 and 5 and played teh hell out of them. This feels soo familiar and yet a lot of new things surprise me every time as far as moves, combos, and just how fluid they move now. Transitions from moves to dodges to counters impressed the hell out of me.

My main characters are Lei WuLong and Marshall Law. I also play a lot as Hwoarang and Bryan. Used to be okay with Yoshimitsu but that dude has gone to crazy for words.

I don't mind scenario mode though I wish they had not shoehorned the normal story mode into it. Story mode is always the most fun I have with the game because I use it as an excuse to try to get used to all of the other characters as well as see the awesome ending FMVs.

I wouldn't mind Scenario Mode if the load times weren't so bad, and if it wasn't so tedious. Seriously I was waiting 20 Minutes to load the fight with Jin.

You can get the Endings just by playing VS matches, or does it have something to do with play time? Since Namco realized there are going to be a lot of players not giving a damn about Scenario Mode and just go on playing VS Matches.

Hwoarang feels nerfed from 5, I used to play him and Lee back in 5 but now I traded him out for Baek.

The AI always stinks no matter what the difficulty on most fighting games.

Like I said earlier I main Lee and Baek, I play a few other characters for fun. I'd learn Law (like everyone else) but the guy is too Top Tier for my tastes. Speaking of which I like how T6's tier list some what reminds me of SFII. Everyone is in the middle with little space differentiating between them....except for Steve, Law, Bob, and Kazuya (although to be fair Kazuya was nerfed quite a bit from 6 to BR)...oh and Zafina she's just terrible.

I don't mind the changes made to Hwoarang, it should be easier to get used to whatever else they have did then it was going from 4 to 5. Then again, I think he was easier to play as when making that jump.

I got Tekken 6 for the PSP today!

It's disturbingly bare compared to the PSP version of 5, no online ghost data and rankings that I can find outside of ad hoc, which saddens me, but the DR leaderboards were a joke anyways so I guess nothing of value was lost.

Tekken Dojo is gone, and I think modes like Survival and Time Attack are missing as well. And Lars' story mode ending is the first cinematic to the console version's Scenario Mode that he's in from what I can tell, I felt let down after putting up with how awful I am with Lars. Watching Asuka's story ending always makes me ;_; and laugh at the same time.

On the positive the game still looks damn good for a PSP game and offers a install feature to decrease loading times. But I wouldn't recommend it over Dark Resurrection unless you're like me and got too used to the changes 6 brought to characters movesets or unless you want the new characters.

I wonder if the online play will be any smoother through ad-hoc party than the PS3s online was

I wouldn't know, but it'd be pretty damn funny if it is.

According to Kotaku a patch should be coming Thursday for the console versions' online lag.

Disregard what I said about Time Attack and Survival on the PSP, they're under the "Challenge Battle" menu.
