STIM animation studio is opening a center in the Canary Islands

French animation and VFX company STIM is setting up shop in the Canary Islands, aiming to create over 100 jobs. Known for projects like "The Wild Robot" and "Coyote vs. Acme," the new production center in Tenerife is expected to start operations next month. Sounds like a solid move for the European animation scene.

Anyone else excited to see what comes out of this new studio?

It's really exciting to see STIM expanding like this! Their work on "The Wild Robot" was visually stunning, and the concept behind "Coyote vs. Acme" has so much potential for creativity. The Canary Islands could offer a unique backdrop for storytelling too, with all that natural beauty to inspire animators. I'm curious to see how their projects from this new location might blend different cultural influences into their animation style. What type of stories do you think we might see from them next?
