Space: Above & Beyond

I'm watching my roommate's DVD's and fucking loving this show. Everything I ever wanted out of the Wing Commander movie, but never got because they wanted to do a horrible movie instead.

It's like Starship Troopers, but serious and with spaceship dogfighting action along with ground pounding military manuevering.

Good stuff and I only seen the Pilot. It's no ensamble cast like what we got of Firefly, but I don't wanna get too attached to these characters as I don't expect them to all survive this season.

Good set up, good action, mysterious enemies and good production for the time. I wish I'd listened to my friend when he told me this was cool, but that wouldn't have saved this show.

There just doesn't seem to be a place for good sci-fi on TV these days.

I liked this show too every time I seemed to catch the reruns on Sci-Fi. Couldn't really tell you any of the plot or characters...but I do remember thinking how the figters docked w/ the main ship was pretty cool.

I remember watching the original airing on Fox, then it got cancelled. The last episode was a cliff-hanger. :shakefist

I'd say the DVD's were well worth it if you're looking for something good and interesting to watch.
