Publisher Clear River Games has been working with Japanese studio TATSUJIN to bring back the Snow Bros — two snowmen who starred in their own 1980s arcade game. Originally developed by Toaplan, TATSUJIN rehired some of the staff from that game to develop the revival, Snow Bros Wonderland, which launches on PC and consoles today. Nick and Tom are twin snowmen who crawl out of bed one morning to find their formerly idyllic homeworld of Snow Land has been taken over by Atchich, the Great King Of Evil. That just won’t do, so they get moving across multiple colorful stages, slaying giant monsters with their snow spheres of doom. If it reminds you of Bubble Bobble, that’s intentional — it was created in BB’s wake. Though Snow Bros Wonderland can be played alone, it supports up to four snow people simultaneously. Wonderland is an improvement in a lot of ways.
