OK, on my previous post about family problems (which were more about family washing ups than Japan), we had this little talk about living in Japan, and how expensive it's going to be, and so on..
And so I've been thinking about it for a while, and... *SIGH* yeah.. I have to admit, I won't be able to tell what will happen in the future, and thus I don't know how much monney I will get, and whether I'll ever get enough monney to move to Japan, is a decision only Captain Future would make.. So, if I choose not to got to Japan, then... what next? Coz I don't want to spend the rest of my life living in pip pip old England. Not that I harshley hate England or anything, this place being the place where I was born and all, but wouldn't it be a bit boring spending the rest of my life here?
And suddenly, I thought about moving to another place in South East Asia as like a "second alternative" to Japan, so I though, why not live in Singapore?
So, the whole point of the thread is.. What is living in Singapore like? I was just thinking about living in Singapore as a second alternative, incase I find that I'm not able to go to Japan. And of course there's lots of Singaporean people on this board (including my good friend Basri and Shoichi).
Some questions..
- Is the lifestyle in Singapore expensive at all like Japan?
- How much will it cost for a person living in Singapore who wants to take a short holiday to Japan for a week or so (after like a break from work).
- Although they speak English in Singapore, will I at all have to learn to speak Malaysian too?
Just curious.. Of course I've not given up my hope for living in Japan yet, but this is just as a second alternative.
