You should buy them. $200+ for all four DVDs excluding shipping. They came with booklets with character info. First press came with cards (CDJapan no longer has first press). Eventually I'll have my Sh15uya section up on my website... eventually.

Well, put it this way. How much do you think those of us who bought the dvds paid? I don't have a region free dvd player either, I use a program called DVD Region+CSS Free to watch dvds on my computer from other regions. My dvd players hooked to tv set are both "hacked" to play region free. Funny how a cheap $30 dvd player from WalMart can be easily modified to become region free.

Now asking someone to copy their dvds for you, in exchange for money, is blatant piracy and could cause problems for both you and the person who copied the dvds for you. Plus, and this is my opinion that I ran by a few other people, it's pretty rude to ask someone to copy their dvds even if you paid them. Like I said, those of us who bought the DVDs paid over $200 excluding shipping over the course of four months as they first came out.

I don't mind providing dvds for fansubbing (or seeing dvds used in fansubbing) since 1) it's freely distributed and 2) quality of an avi despite how good will cause degrading in the final product so you're not getting an actual dvd quality item BUT copying the DVD does create an actual dvd quality item which isn't fair to either the company that created/distributed the item OR to the people who bought the legitimate dvds at full price. 3) Hell, if you're going to pay someone to copy their dvds for you then you might as well buy Hong Kong bootlegs because it's the same principle behind it.

My suggestion, download the tv raws that are out on Anarion site. There are people still out there with the raws who can help seed if you ask for a seeder.

well, let me put it this way, not everyone has $200+ to spend on it and unfortunately some of us, who don't have as much money as other, have to resort to other ways of getting things. and don't you think if I had that kind of money, I'd just go ahead and buy it instead of wasting my time getting pointless replies for people like you? and stop trying to be all righteous and give me a half hour long lecture on piracy and the problems it can cause. ...then you tell me to download it? now, going by what your BS rambling, wouldn't that be just as unfair to the company/distributor and the people who bought it full price, as it would be paying someone to copy it? so don't give me that crap. not everyone has the money to buy the things they'd like, so don't act all high and mighty and think everyone should be forced to do the same thing as you and only that, because not everyone can.

Heh - actually there is a huge difference between downloading a tv encode (for free) and paying someone to make copies of their dvds. That's why there is a fine line in fansubbing since it is techincally piracy but I've yet to see a fansubber go to jail for fansubbing but I have seen people go to jail for making illegal copies of dvds. See the point?

I think he's asking for people who're willing to donate them and pay them for their troubles.

Simple as that. My friends and co-workers do it for tv shows that we love that either we don't love enough to pay for them or just don't have the cash at the moment.

If you don't wanna... just don't. Easy as pie.
