Early reports have turned out to be true: Sadako, the stringy-haired star of the Ringu series of horror films, has joined the Dead By Daylight lineup.
The latest chapter, Sadako Rising, is live as of now, and as we expected (but weren’t allowed to admit for some reason), Sadako is the new Killer. Yoichi Asakawa from the first Ringu movie has also joined the game as the latest Survivor.
Those playing Sadako will start out on the map invisible to all players, but may flicker into visibility if she gets too close to a Survivor. A proper attack means utilizing her powers: portal to a TV display, climb out of it, and start chasing. In lieu of a Seven Days curse (DBD matches don’t last that long), the Survivor’s Condemned meter will rise. If and when it becomes full, Sadako can kill them with one hit.
