Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger - News and Reviews

Wasn't this largely the case with Kyoryuger, as well? Stegotchi/Dricera and Zakutor/Parasagun both shared the majority of their parts. Or Gabutyra/Tobaspino. It may be that the days of relatively unique DX mecha are over. If the reuse-heavy Kyoryuger stuff sold well, Bandai would have little incentive not to continue the reuse practice.

Gabutyra/Tobaspino shouldn't count because Tobaspino is a movie mech. Very rarely are those completely original.(Dekaranger's Blast Buggy is the only example I can think of.)

Anyway, it seems like almost all of the Ressha outside of the main five have been original. I'm fine with Green/Blue and Pink/Yellow being that way since they form the same. but mirrored, body parts, and they're trains.

Ah right, I forget about those because Rio and Mele were main characters on the show.

I also suspect that Furaimaru from Gokaiger occupied the movie toy slot due to how few of them I've seen on the aftermarket.

Anyway, even when you ignore movie toys there is still a history of occasional remolding going on within a particular dx gattai series. Especially when you do a Voltron-style combination and have components that form the same kind of body part.

My favorite toy year, Gaoranger, is full of it, so I don't really have any right to complain.

well, it definitely seems like we're in for an interesting year, as people have been hacking various possible upcoming Ressha in the ToQ Changer, including, Dozer, Mixer, Hyper, Safari, and I even managed to hack Jet Ressha.

it seems like because there are only so many kinda on trains, Bandai is basically taking whatever vehicles they can think of, and turning them into trains

I know this won't surprise anyone or impress a few, but just to share: I got the second volume of Shinkenger on Blu-Ray today. In the ad pamphlet was this:

I know: ToQger coming on DVD and Blu-Ray is not a surprise and most people are happy with the subs (or even prefer them since Toei doesn't include English subs). However, for those like me who's Toku collections consist mostly of discs and old Power Ranger toys, this should a pick me up. In case the picture doesn't work, Vol 1 comes 7/11.

PS: I decided to check Orends Range. The ToQger team up with Gaim comes 8/8.

Good lord. The Hyper ToQ-Oh is just SO UGLY.

I can't tell whether to applaud it for having something like feet and hands, or give in to the reality that it resembles one of those TGI Friday's vests with a thousand buttons stuck onto them.

And the robot mode of the final mecha in the combination. No. Just no.

Oh, Bragig-Oh, I took you for granted.
