It's almost time. With less than two weeks until PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royal launches for the Vita and PS3, Sony has taken the liberty of showing us the game's intro cinematic.

This introduction gives us a look at every character's rival in PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale, complete with a pretty good song. It seems like they're fighting in the PS3's XMB. The most important thing to take out of this is the mysterious floating head at the end of the intro.

That floating head is most likely Polygon Man, an old PlayStation mascot from the PS1 days. Why the fighters were brought together, and whatever Polygon Man has up his sleeves will be revealed on November 20th when All-Stars comes out for the PS3 and Vita.

Best trailer by far, I'm mad hyped right now, can't wait to pick it up next week.

SSB clone. Which means it's a confusing mess. (but to be honest, any fighting game with more than 2 characters on screen at the same time, turns into that)

Gundam vs Gundam series

Crucis Fatal FAKE

not always a mess, but yeah, they can turn to a mess if you don't know what you're doing

For me every battle with three or more characters is like this:
everyone runs at each other, sparkles and special effects completely obscure everyone, somebody flies away. If I try to keep away and attack tactically, I don't get enough kills to rival mosh pit guys who just run headfirst and hope for the best.
If it's one on one, on the flat surface, there's actually depth to what is happening. Feints, dodges, prediction and stuff.. But add one of the following:
More players
Stage obstacles

and bam, it's just a mess, because it doesn't matter what you do, anytime you can be blindsided by something you can't see coming, because you are to concentrated on an enemy who tries to murder you in your immediate vicinity.

Add both and it's just sparkly stuff obscuring the screen, making it diffucult to impossible to keep track of even my guy, let alone what others are doing.

I still lose my character's place in battle from time to time, but I've learned how to follow him/her better. It's not too difficult.

Aside from the look, this game is nothing like SSB.

I played this and played n64 SSB, and apart from fluff like controls, different health system (the lack of thereof) the game is essentially the same. 4 characters, gimmicky arenas and items you pick up, combined with simplistic controls.
