Anyone else been waiting on this?

Cockatrices and basilisks are such fun creatures to throw into a campaign! The petrification mechanic adds this delicious layer of tension, especially when players are getting ready to battle a cockatrice and suddenly someone realizes they forgot to mention that their favorite weapon is also made of stone.

I love how they can shake up combat with their unique abilities, like the cockatrice's confusing gaze. This forces players to strategize differently than just hacking away with swords. Plus, there's a ton of lore to draw from, making it easy to weave these critters into your world-building.

Have you thought about how you'd introduce them in your sessions? Any epic tales of combat against one of these bad boys?
