Mystery Ultraman DVDs on eBay?

Bootlegs of which show exactly? You mean they photoshopped completely fictional Ultra characters for the front cover and stuck an old Ultraman show on the discs? Why would they have to make up an image of a character instead of just grabbing real images from the shows on the discs themselves? If they're bootlegs, then why would it matter anyway? I was hoping that they might be something like an original made regional knockoff show or some hybrid show made with borrowed Ultra footage and their own newly shot footage.

The reason they do that is so they can sell more copies. If someone did that with Toei Toku, then they could sell something like normal Gao (normal looking disc) and then THAT Gao (that looks weird, so people will be intrigued and buy it). I know this top is Ultraman, but the same goes really.
