Live Action Akira Movie Dead?

Remember That Live Action Akira Movie Coming Out? Well It’s Dead.

It was about a year ago that we reported on the news that Warner Brothers and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way were all set to give us a live action Akira. It was also reported that Ruairi Robinson, an irish filmmaker, would be making his feature directorial debut with the film.

Well it appears that now Robinson has left the project and Bloody-Disgusting has confirmed through two different sources that the film is “dead as a doornail.â€

So there you have it. Seems as though we won’t be getting a live action Akira movie as soon as we thought. But you never know, perhaps this could open something up for someone else to come in with fresh ideas and it’ll pick back up again.

Since Leo ain't involved, I'm kinda iffy now about this whole thing. Leo sounded like the type of guy that respects the source material
