[CASTING CALLS] Kamen Rider Club

Plot: In the 70s, tales of bikers known only as the Kamen Riders were told after a few reports of odd bug-looking men beating up thugs at night and saving people’s lives. The stories were usually tales of redemption, revenge, love, and the overall balance of good and evil. Throughout the 80s, these stories entertained children and even shaped their lives for the better, for they emulated their heroes. In the 90s, the riders soon faded into obscurity, but the stories told only increased. They became a nationwide sensation akin to Bigfoot.

Meanwhile, there was a company by the name of Foundation X, with troubling struggles in the late 70s and 80s as reports of their laboratories and buildings being blown up were told along with a long list of missing employees who were often-assumed dead. In the 90s, however, they became a big success soon after the reports of the Kamen Riders were no longer told. Foundation X then held an announcement that revealed their goal to boost humanity’s potential to its zenith. Many people waited for that day when Foundation X would announced that the goal was achieved. Foundation X also dabbled in other projects, such as researching a world hidden in the mirrors, bringing back the dead, and other such stories.

It was in the year 2000 that this would all change. Foundation X built a high school to educate and recruit new members into their ranks. At the same time, there was a report of an archaeologist team being murdered by a monster, as well as a belt that was uncovered at the murder site. A day later, there were reports of a new Kamen Rider, as well as many numerous murders. Stories were being rushed out about who this Rider was. Eventually, people accepted one such story as common fact: This rider was the one who murdered the archaeologist team and was responsible for the other murders. It didn’t stop people from believing in Kamen Rider, as they now talk about the new one in ghost stories. One such person, Ushio Kai, formed a club in Foundation X High called the Kamen Rider Club, where people are dedicated to finding and revealing the identity of the Kamen Rider. Meanwhile, Foundation X released a product that would be just one-step closer to their goal: The G1 System.

Rules:
1. No godmodding or powermodding, etc.
2. No sex, relationships okay.
3. Control the foul language, but it may be used occasionally.
4. Multiple Characters are allowed, but no more than three. If you make a new character after your third one, you must kill off one of your three characters or at least put them on a bus (not literally).
5. If you are to kill someone else’s character, at least get their approval. You must get mine if it’s an NPC.
6. Pay attention to posts.

Notes:
1. This RPG is mostly going to focus on the humans instead of the Riders, so expect to play a human or a kaijin most of the time.
2. At the moment, the only Riders are Kuuga and G1, eventually more riders will be available, but only slowly.
3. Because of the limited selection of Kamen Riders, you can only have one Kamen Rider.
4. If you sign up as a Kamen Rider, you must also sign up with a human or kaijin character as well.
5. If you wish to make a huge plot twist, discuss it with the GM and Co-GMs and see if they approve of it.
6. Kamen Riders initially start out with their basic forms. Later on, they will get their midseason upgrades and near the end, they get their super modes.
7. The only type of Kaijin available at the moment are Grongi and Showa Kaijin. More Kaijin types will come in time.

Backstory: When Ushio was a five year old, he had heard stories of Kamen Riders. The stories of how they were beyond that of normal mortals. He idolized them and dreamed of one day becoming one. One day, however, his older sister and him were held at knife point by a thug. Ushio tried to stand up to the thug, but his childish attempts were not enough to scare the thug as he stabbed him and his sister. As he lay on the floor bleeding, he hoped that a Kamen Rider would come and save their lives. However, no Kamen Rider came and fought the thug, and he got away. He woke up in the hospital from a three-day-coma where he discovered that his sister died from her wounds. Upon the revelation, he stopped believing in Kamen Riders and began to hate them for what happened.

A decade passed as he heard more stories of the so-called heroes who left him and his sister to rot. He heard reports of murders that happened overnight. He had no care for them until he heard from some of his classmates at Foundation X High of a Kamen Rider in red with gold horns being associated with the murders. He slowly began to think about the murders, but had no concern. That is Ushio’s mom did not come home one night. The next day, Ushio learned that another mass murder rolled up and on the list of dead people was Ushio’s mom. Distraught with another wave of depression, he soon came to a resolution. He was going to find out who the red rider is, and take avenge his mother’s death. He then sets up the Kamen Rider Club as a means of finding out who the Rider is.

Backstory: Mr. X founded Foundation X sometime in the 70s where he began his goal of unlocking humanity’s full potential. He did this by experimenting on several people who were willing. The experiments were mostly comprised of adding robotic components inside people and seeing how they worked. His company was a huge success after one of his experiments accidently cured a kid of his illness. Mr. X was requested to perform experiments on other ill people from that day on. One day, however, one of the people in the experiment broke out. It soon began a deadly decline of Foundation X’s success as employees slowly disappeared or died off. Several buildings and laboratories were blown up, including the headquarters of Foundation X, along with Mr. X. Some assumed him to have died in the explosion. In the 90s, however, Mr. X held an announcement that he wasn’t dead and that he escaped in time. He then announced his goal to unlock humanity’s full potential to everyone, however, he vowed to do it by other means as opposed implanting robotics and had begun researching on many things. He built a high school as a means to recruit new members in their prime.

A decade passed as reports of the rider were told. Mr. X was dumbfounded by this, as he thought the riders died out a decade ago. Mr. X then began to look for a project that was near completion. The G1 experimental suit built to assist the police. He funded the program and built his own version of it, basing it off the rider seen on the news. With the suit complete, he began to delve into other projects with haste, as if he was running short on time.

Backstory: When Kyuuki was a kid, he had an illness that guaranteed that he won’t make it before his sixteenth birthday. When said birthday drew near, he felt like he was in despair. Soon, an eccentric man by the name of Mr. X came to him and offered to experiment on him in return for some cash. He accepted, since he was about to die anyways and decided to give a little back to his family. However, the operation of implanting robotics inside Kyuuki cured him of the illness. Much like Foundation X’s other human experiments, it gave Kyuuki an alternate form to shift into, tapping into a deeper power. Kyuuki’s story helped bring Foundation X to popularity. When reports of Foundation X members disappearing came up, Kyuuki faked his death not to be targeted. He even went as far as to change his last name to Sanichigo.

During the 90s, he heard of Foundation X rising again and decided to join it again. He assisted Mr. X in his research. One day, Mr. X decided to make a high school and asked Kyuuki to be a teacher there. Excited, Kyuuki accepted and became a teacher at Foundation X High. He still kept his monsterish alternate mode, but he refuses to transform into it unless his students are threatened.
