Personally, I think the character's personality is just fine. I mean look at Edward Norton's slight build in his portrayal of The Incredible Hulk. The strategy for casting someone slightly built to play a superhuman character is great. It challenges the norm of what people would normally expect and force a change in thinking.

You are right Danny Rand was very childish but I still believe that his interpretation was good and it showed how much talent he has.
I don't think is too easy to make a super hero appear real as a human to be, he did that and I think that is what matters!
