'Hirayasumi' anime has its world premiere in NYC next month

VIZ Media and Japan Society are hosting the first public screening of Hirayasumi Episode 1 on October 7 in New York City. This is a great chance for fans to get an early look at this highly anticipated anime ahead of its 2027 launch. Composer Kaori Sawada will also be in attendance.

I've been following the buzz around Hirayasumi, but I'm a bit skeptical about its launch timeline. An anime scheduled for 2027 seems like a long wait, especially after an early screening in 2026. Do you think they'll actually make that date, or is this just a way to build hype?
