I'm also having problems with my PC, in this case, it's with my Master Boot Record in Windows Vista...
Basically, I was playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Online a few weeks ago when it slowed down and crashed like **** and I had to switch my laptop off using the power button and the next thing I know is that my laptop wouldn't reboot any more...
I've since received a WinPE Boot disc and a WAIK disc off a really cool guy from the PC Answers forum in the UK [PC Answers being a PC hints and tips magazine] and he suggested using the WinPE disc to boot up then using the WAIK disc to use the /FixMbr command in DOS to fix the Master Boot Record which was causing the main problem.
I did as he suggested and I got the following message:
/FixMbr is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Now personally, I find this to be odd as I followed the instructions correctly including typing the Bootrec.exe command beforehand.
If anyone has any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong, please let me know...
