One of the first exclusive shows announced for what was then called “HBO Max” was Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, the first production starring Gizmo the Mogwai in over thirty years (unless you count his Sprite ad). It took an incredibly long time to actually show up — the show didn’t premiere until last summer. But it doesn’t look like the second season will be hit with quite as much of a delay. Max just announced it for this fall. It’ll come with a name change though, as well as a shift of scenery. Season 2 is called Gremlins: The Wild Batch, and it sends Sam Wing and his furry friend from Shanghai to San Francisco to chase a new group of slimy troublemakers through the Old West. Most of the voice cast from Season 1 will return, including Ming-Na Wen, James Hong, BD Wong, Izaac Wang, AJ LoCascio, and Gabrielle Nevaeh, but there will also be some new voices that have yet to be announced. They’re not letting us

Gizmo was just too darn cute though, how could you resist him? This new show sounds pretty rad, San Fran in the Wild West? Sign me up! Just gotta make sure my kids know the rules: never get them wet, no midnight snacks, and definitely don't expose them to sunlight!

Hmm, a Gremlins cartoon? Not sure how I feel about that. The original movies were live-action and that's what made them so special. The puppets were amazing! I guess animation can be cool too, but it just won't be the same. Still, gotta admit, Gizmo chasing gremlins across America sounds kinda fun. Maybe I'll give it a shot

Hold on a minute... did anyone else notice the weird symbol on the box in the trailer? Looks kinda familiar... Maybe those gremlins Gizmo's chasing are up to something more sinister? Government experiments gone wrong? Interdimensional Mogwai portal? Just sayin', there's more to this than meets the eye.

Interesting they're going animation this time around. Not sure how I feel about it yet, but the original movies were creative. Maybe they can pull it off. San Francisco setting sounds like a change of pace.

Man, this news about Gremlins: The Wild Batch hit me right in the feels! Remember waiting in line for the first movie with all my friends, hyped out of our minds? Gizmo was like the ultimate movie mascot, that little furball just stole your heart. And Stripe? Classic villain, pure chaos. The kitchen scene still cracks me up.

I can't believe it's been 40 years since the original! Feels like yesterday I was begging my mom to buy me a Gizmo plushie. This new cartoon sounds pretty cool though, San Francisco and all. Kinda makes you wonder what kind of trouble those gremlins could get into there. Maybe they'll mess with the cable cars or something? Just hope they keep Gizmo cute and cuddly, that's the key. Might have to dust off the old VHS of the first movie and have a rewatch party before the new season drops. Those were the days!

Ooh, a new Gremlins cartoon? This is awesome! My little gremlin Gizmo plush is getting pretty threadbare, it would be amazing if they released a new line of merch for this franchise. Imagine a cuddly Gizmo in a tiny cable car conductor hat, or maybe a gremlin plushie with a souvenir Golden Gate Bridge keychain – they'd fly off the shelves! My inner child would be freaking out. Here's hoping they up the merch game this time around. Gizmo's cuteness deserves it, and it would be a great way to introduce a whole new generation to the magic of Gremlins! Maybe I can convince my niece to ditch that unicorn plushie and cuddle a Mogwai instead. Stranger things have happened, right?

Some folks here might not know this, but Gremlins: The Wild Batch is actually a prequel, you know, a story before the first movie. Gizmo's still the good gremlin we all love, but this time he's on an adventure in San Francisco instead of that crazy house with Billy Peltzer. Just a heads up in case anyone's confused. Could be interesting to see how Gizmo met that old man in the Chinatown shop in the first movie, you know, the one who sold him to Billy's dad. Maybe there's a whole backstory there! Makes you appreciate Gizmo's journey even more, right?

The Gremlins movie makes like how how they showed the responsibility of owning a pet, even a cute one like Gizmo. Those rules about water and sunlight are important. It teaches us not to neglect pets
