Gears of War ROCKS

Yes...after weeks of scrimping and saving I finally managed to scrounge up SGD$70 to buy Gears of War and damn is it worth the money. This ain't no Halo that's for sure. Halo had its tension-filled moments and is special all its own but I could distinctly feel my thumping heart while playing GoW. I just finished Act 1, starting on Act 2 and experienced my first boss battle against the Berserker.

Lemme tell you folks, she is one scary bitch. Bottomline, for those who own a 360, do yourself a favour and get GoW even if you're a casual fan of shooters like me (I'm an RPG person). Whatever all the reviewers said are true so don't waste time pondering. Gears of War ROCKS.:buttrock:

I'll be borrowing it from my best friend when he beats the mode he's on and gets frustrated with Legendary :laugh:

Heh I'm playing on the easiest setting (Casual) and I had to die 3 times before I could clear the first two checkpoints. One obvious explanation is that I'm not good at shooters as I'd like to be but the second reason is that the AI really is tough...you really need to make use of the cover around you. And yeah, there's really something satisfying about scoring a chainsaw melee kill.

well the game takes some getting used to at first, since the controlls are new and it's sometimes tough to tell where fire is coming from. You could be getting hit from another direction and might not know it.

Also, this game is best played in Co-Op. I have a blast running through with a friend
