Games That Gave Us the Most Memorable Side Characters

I’ve been thinking a lot about how side characters can really make or break a game. Sure, the main protagonist usually gets the spotlight, but there are tons of memorable side characters that steal the show!

For me, characters like Tails in Sonic or Navi in Ocarina of Time really stand out. Tails has that perfect blend of loyalty and cuteness, while Navi is always there to remind you of what to do next (even if she gets a bit annoying). Then there’s the entire cast of the Fire Emblem series, especially characters like Robin and Lucina, who add so much depth to the story and gameplay.

Absolutely! Side characters can really elevate a game. I totally agree with your picks of Tails and Navi. Tails' loyalty brings so much heart to the Sonic series, and yeah, Navi might get a bit grating, but her guidance is integral to the experience.

I think the whole cast of Persona 5 deserves a shoutout too. Characters like Morgana and Ryuji inject so much personality and humor into the story. Their interactions with the main character really make the world feel alive.

I'm also curious about how side characters will be handled in the upcoming game releases, like the next installment of Fire Emblem that's dropping later this month. Any predictions on who might steal the show this time?
