Free Comic Book Day!

[SapphireBlue]

For those who don't know about FCBD, here's the website: http://freecomicbookday.com/

So, is anyone going to their local comic book stores on May 3 for some free comic books? I know I will .

I can't wait, I'm driving all the way home from my campus for this :buttrock:

I'm getting ready for it! Probably going to the usual spot (Velocity Comics downtown) to get my catch.

Any idea what comics are being offered, I haven't heard or seen anything. I'd imagine Marvel would have an Iron Man comic out to go along with the movie. Probably something Batman related for DC. But outside of that nothing

Here's the list of the comics being offered this year: http://freecomicbookday.com/the_comics.asp

I waited 2 hours in line at Midtown Comics in NYC to get my free comics yesterday...pushed it real close to getting to the airport late to catch my fight home..but it was worth it. I got come great reading material to calm me on the flight.

I missed it, as I was working
But I DID go see Ironman last night

Well, the low budget comic book store that I used to go to stop selling comic books... 6 months ago.

On FCBD, they let us take just about 2 of everything.

Now I had to result to the more "higher-class" comic book stores, and well, they're too far away, and who knows if they'd let us take 2 of everything. Besides, when I called, they said they were awefully busy and there was a lot of fun going on, which = limited comics. They probably had guys dressed up as super heroes.

So I just said "screw it" and didn't bother with FCBD. :disappoin

I got a total of 10 free comics yesterday, 5 from one store and 5 from another store.

Also, I got a digital print from Alex Milne (artist for the Transformers comics), which he also autographed .
