Fire Emblem just pulled a wild villain twist in Act 2

While I appreciate that Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is attempting to subvert RPG tropes, I can't help but feel these villain turns risk feeling like a familiar play in the genre. There's a fine line between surprising and just being contrived; hopefully, the execution is strong enough to justify the twist rather than relying on shock value alone. A well-crafted reveal can elevate a story, but it sounds like this one could fall flat if it doesn't bring something genuinely unique to the table.
