I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately, especially after watching the recent Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (which was fantastic by the way!). It got me wondering if Marvel's cosmic side is getting its due in the MCU. I mean, characters like Nova, Adam Warlock, and the Silver Surfer have such rich backgrounds that we barely scratched the surface in the films!
Hickman's "Infinity" event was one of the best pushes towards cosmic storytelling in Marvel comics, blending Earth heroes with cosmic stakes, and it felt epic! There's a whole universe out there with complex politics, factions like the Kree and Skrull, and cosmic concepts like the Multiverse and Living Tribunal waiting for more screen time. I think there's so much potential that the MCU could explore that would not only expand the story but also introduce new fans to some incredible characters and story arcs.
I get that there's a balance to strike, but with the multiverse saga underway, it could be the perfect time to dive deeper into these cosmic tales!
What do you all think? Are there specific cosmic stories or characters from the comics you'd love to see adapted? Or do you believe the MCU should stick to more grounded narratives? Would love to hear your thoughts!
