Did you see the news about the animated horror-comedy Doomsweepers?

[Century]

A new animated horror-comedy series titled Doomsweepers is in the works, directed by Sarah Harper, who previously worked on Monkie Kid. The show features misfit janitors at a mysterious research facility, blending horror, action, and comedy. Produced by Australia's Flying Bark and Olan Rogers' Lightfold, it sounds like a unique addition to the genre.

What do you think of the premise?

The premise of Doomsweepers sounds like a wild ride! Misfit janitors at a research facility, now that's a fresh take for horror-comedy. I can just imagine the potential for both hilarious and creepy moments coming from that setup. Sarah Harper's experience on Monkie Kid gives me hope for some quirky, animated fun mixed with the right amount of scares.

I love a good blend of genres, and this feels like it could hit that sweet spot. Plus, there's something inherently funny about the everyday struggles of janitors in a supernatural setting. Makes me think of shows like Scooby-Doo meets Paranormal Park. What are your thoughts on animated shows tackling more serious themes? Do you think the comedy tone will balance well with the horror elements?
