The Ends JustiΦ's the Means
So, I'm currently in the market for a new phone. My own phone has sort of lived out its span and I'm getting tired of the crappy service. I've sort of already decided I want a new smartphone. I mean, its all the rage now and sorta has become essential part of everyday life. So I've been looking around and with the new iPhone 4 out, I've been comparing it with various Android phones. I have sort of narrowed it down and am looking for some feedback to sorta help me make a decision. So, here are my choices and the reasons I want them.
iPhone 4:
- I have an iPod Touch already and am used to the interface. Have all my music and podcasts organized and whatnot on iTunes and it would be a bitch to transfer those over, I assume.
-The whole FaceTime feature seems interesting and innovative, but i doubt ill use it much.
-HD 720P video recording and editing on the phone is pretty rad.
-new multitasking and folder features (which I had to jailbreak my ipod touch for to get)
-Screen display is top-of-the-line with higher resolution and with the retinal display thing, it looks more crisp with videos and pics.
-only thing I'm sorta on the fence is the price for the Plans for the phone. Its the most expensive of the smartphones out there from what I can tell.
Droid Incredible
-Since it is sort of the competitor, it is different in how it operates, has a different App store, stores music differently. So this could be a plus and a minus.
-Processor seems to be a bit faster since it loads webpages faster and from what I hear, that's the best way to test it out in one go.
-Price point for it is a bit more appealing. T-Mobile offers 2 for the price of one with a 2 year contract, so I can get one for me and my brother. and the Plans are a bit cheaper as well.
As you can see, I'm sort of leaning towards the iPhone 4. I'm used to the interface so it would be a seamless transition. It offers quite a lot as far as features go. But, the Droid Incredible is a bit cheaper, offers quite a few of what iPhone does, and I wouldnt have to part with my tricked out iPod Touch. I dont know, lol. Kind of a tough choice for me. What do you guys think? I'm interested to hear your opinions.
I would have added the HTC Evo 4G, but I saw one that my friend had and its HUGE. I dont think it would even fit in my pocket.
