Dark Tower Movies

JJ Abrams and Damon Lindelof will adapt Stephen King's The Dark Tower novels into feature films. He apparently sold them the film rights for $19. HAHA!

So, having not read the books at all because anything without pictures tends to frighten me, is this something people have been waiting for? Or is this another case of Hollywood running out of ideas.

I've read all of the Dark Tower books except the last one. This news has me verry excited. Coz they're really good book if you like AU/western/sci-fi/fantasy genre books.
