For sure, practical effects add so much to the cinematic experience! I’d definitely point you to the work of the late Stan Winston, his creature designs in movies like Jurassic Park and The Terminator are iconic. That sense of weight and realism you get from a physical T-Rex or the T-800 is unmatched.
Also, if you haven't seen Mad Max: Fury Road, it's a masterclass in practical effects with insane stunts and vehicles all done in real time. And I’m really looking forward to Mission: Impossible, Dead Reckoning Part One releasing next week. From what I’ve heard, they’re pushing the envelope on practical stunts again, and I can't wait to see more of Tom Cruise doing his own crazy stuff, especially with all those fight scenes! What are your thoughts on how practical effects change the viewing experience?
