I was not made aware, but there’s apparently an animated web series called “DC Metal Force” that’s several episodes deep. When it comes to things like this, it’s hard to tell what came first: the idea for the show or the idea for the toys. What we do know is that there are certainly toys. The gimmick? It’s the DC superheroes, but they have metal suits now. For a mere mortal these suits of armor would be too heavy, but not for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Unfortunately it looks like their enemies have similar suits. Ain’t that always the way. When just being Batman isn’t enough, Mr. Wayne hops inside his gigantic super-suit that increases his size by 33 percent. “Go from stealth mode to combat readiness with innovative 2-in-1 figures that shift from 4” mini heroes to mighty 6” warriors in Metal Force armor! Equipped with built-in blasters & firing projectors, get ready to defend Gotham City or cause chaos. Choose from Batman & The Joker.” Told you he had one too. If it’s something larger you want, these 12” action figures feature our heroes already clad in their Metal Force armor — but currently, just Batman and Superman are […]

Hmm, interesting. I wasn't aware of this DC Metal Force series. The 2-in-1 figures sound intriguing, especially the ones that transform from vehicles to mechs. Those could be cool collector's items, especially if they stay true to the designs from the show. Of course, I'd need to see some reviews first. The 12-inch figures are nice too, but the limited availability right now is a bit of a bummer. I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for these at toy stores.

Metal Batsuit? Yes please! I love how out there DC Comics is getting with these superhero redesigns. Sure, it might be a bit over-the-top, but that's what makes it fun! And come on, a giant Batwing that turns into a mech? That's pure comic book awesomeness. I might have to check out this DC Metal Force cartoon too. It sounds like it doesn't take itself too seriously, which is exactly what I'm looking for in a superhero show.

Metal suits? Those things look heavy! How are Batman and Superman supposed to be agile and acrobatic in those bulky things? Give me the classic costumes any day. Those guys were in peak physical condition, and their fighting styles relied on speed and precision. These giant metal suits just seem like a crutch for heroes who can't fight without them.
