Just Scratch Behind the Ears

Ok guys, I needs your help. I need to know what kind of bike this [is] was before they started the body work to make it into Auto Vajin. Friend of mine says it looks like a sport bike, made more for handling then speed.. but thats all the help he could give me. - he's more of a car guy.

I could have sworn there was a site with this info listed, but I cant seem to find anything useing google, so any help would really, really be appreciated.

Also, if anyone out there has there hand in auto body work and could give me alittle bit of an idea how much it would cost to take a stock bike and make it look like Auto Vajin, that would help me out too.

Thanks for any help, hopefully I can get this answered.

Hrm, so what exactly is the difference between the XR250 and the XR250R? anyone know? I looked up pics and yeah, the 250R looks like the right one, but the site lists the 250 as being the one used.

*ish confused*

I dont want to buy the wrong one, ya know?

The American Honda site has specs on the XR250R. The US cost - $4,699 (base). The Japanese XR250 is a bit different then the "R" version with the noticable difference being in the body itself.

hrm.. *starts calling local honda dealers about the 250R*

Well, I was going back through episode 2 to snap somthin and noticed that the XR250 was the bike Takumi was originally rideing, that Mari later uses - I guess that explains the honda jp site listing that one as Faiz's bike.

So, one would assume that the XR250R was the one used for the Auto Vajin then, correct? the more raceing and preformance one would make sense. Unless I've missed somthin.. things dont always click right away for me.. o_O I need more sleep, me thinks.

At any rate it seems I can snag the XR250R locally, so cool. I just gotta check up on the laws about what I may have to do to get it street legal, it being on the off road section worries me. But one of my car-guy roomates looked at the specs and says they all fall in the clear for Nebraska.

Don't forget that you'll need a motorcycle license if you don't already have one. You might want to call your local DMV to find out what is and is not allowed on a modded motorcycle.

Okay,.in order to get a dirt bike legal(i.e. a XR250R) it has to have a Green Sticker wich means its legal for the road (emissions and headlights etc) the bike may already have it as lots of crossover bikes have them already. The XR250R may even be a "supermoto" bike-wich is a dirt bike with street tires.

If your looking to convert the bike a copy of the Autovajin (like my cool S.I.C. model) and hire and auto body shop to do the work..factor in about ten grand...Your better of getting a silk scarf or gawdy hemet instead.

If your going to play Japanese superhero (like i do on my bikes!) you need to get a M1 enorsement from the DMV wich means a two day class and a test. Its really great fun!....and you would make tachibana proud.
