I'm not impressed with XLR8. Heatblast looks decent.

Yeah. Definitly not XL8.
Anyway.
Grandpa Max may be "fat" in the movie, but noway are you going to find an actor who can fit the weight role and at the same time be able to kick as much ass and perform as many action scenes as a real plumber would be able to, no matter what age, so they prolly just went with what would be more realistic, which in my opinion, is the smart thing to do.
Although, it's funny that Keith mentioned Avatar as well as Ben10 for this little frontpage news about the live action movie. Why?
Avatar is also due for a Live Action Movie (I think a trilogy).

And Grandpa Max actually looks slimmer in the Future, as seen in the episode "Ken 10," which tells of how Ben's son, Ken gets an Omnitrix of his own. And the villain's name is Eon. I saw it on a commercial.
