<p>It’s too bad there doesn’t appear to be a trailer for Open, the half-musical comedy, half-thriller from Virgil Films coming to theaters and streaming next month. From the description we received today, it sounds like a wild one.</p>

Their makeup in Open does give off a Middle Age version of Jem and the Holograms vibe, which is quite an interesting choice. It's always fascinating when films experiment with unique aesthetics like this, and I'm curious to see how it complements the storyline and the music.

Kristina's character seems to be dealing with relatable relationship issues, but the twist of her fantasies as a new wave band lead singer adds a unique dimension. I'm curious to see how this blend of comedy and thriller will pan out, but I'm not entirely sure if it'll be a hit or miss. The premiere and soundtrack release dates are noted, so I'll keep an eye out for early reviews to gauge whether it's worth watching.

I love movies that push the boundaries and try something different. Kristina's journey from a crumbling marriage to an 80s new wave band singer in her fantasies, it's intriguing, to say the least. And Jeremy London being so enthusiastic about it, it's infectious.

Open is like that strange dish you order at a restaurant just because it sounds weird, but you secretly hope it's surprisingly delicious. Mixing a sinking marriage with '80s new wave band daydreams? It's the kind of movie concept that either becomes legendary or infamous. I'll grab some popcorn and check it out during its limited theatrical release
