Ellen Ripley is the Survivor of the Alien Chapter of Dead by Daylight

Ellen Ripley, the next iconic survivor in Dead by Daylight’s horror lineup, joins the ranks. Known as the quintessential protagonist of Alien, she stands tall as one of the best-crafted female characters in horror and science fiction. The Xenomorph, announced months ago as the killer for the Alien Chapter, initially sparked excitement. However, my disappointment arises from BHVR decision not to secure Sigourney Weaver’s likeness for Ellen Ripley’s character model. It’s possible they allocated their budget to the Nicolas Cage DLC, which dropped a few months ago. Tackling the likeness of two renowned actors back-to-back might not have been feasible. Despite of having a different face, She still looks like Ellen Ripley because of her uniform and hair. When we had a Halloween chapter, Laurie Strode dont look like Jamie Lee Curtis.

She doesn't look like Sigourney but at least she still looks recognizable.

If you're as obsessed with Alien as I am, you won't want to miss this hidden gem in the new Dead by Daylight chapter. Brace yourselves for an awesome Easter egg – I kid you not! When you're exploring the map and happen to stroll by one of those broken ship windows, get ready for a heart-stopping surprise. The lights start flickering like in the good ol' Nostromo days, and guess what? A face hugger suddenly launches itself at the window! I mean, come on, talk about nostalgia overload, right? It scampers away right after, but trust me, it's the kind of thrill that'll make your Alien-loving heart skip a beat.

My family used to bring out our Aliens DVDs, make some popcorn, and huddle in the living room for an epic marathon of the entire series when I was a kid. Those memories are priceless, and they made me into a die-hard fan of the franchise, particularly H.R. Giger's work is breathtaking. Needless to say, I'm quite excited about this! While I'm not a huge Dead by Daylight fan, I'm crossing my fingers that they treat the Alien universe right. Let's hope it's a good time!

I was really enthusiastic, but then I was let down. Sigourney Weaver's face was not used to model her persona. Who knows, maybe they wasted their money on the Nicolas Cage DLC, but Ripley still looks like Ripley due of her uniform and hair, so I'll let that slide. In the Halloween chapter, Laurie Strode did not resemble Jamie Lee Curtis. I suppose it's all about the clothes.

Wow! that trailer description got me hyped! Ellen Ripley waking up from her sleeping chamber, crash-landing on a planet, and then facing off against a crazy alien. I can totally picture it. And Dwight hanging on a hook? That sounds intense. Can't wait to see how the gameplay works out when it drops on August 29th.

You know, I've been watching the new chapter's footage, and I gotta say, this just solidifies my belief that we should give BHVR a break. They've got some seriously skilled folks working on the game who deserve more recognition. I get it, there might be a few not-so-great moments, but that shouldn't overshadow the whole experience. It's like having a few burnt cookies in a batch – doesn't mean the entire batch is ruined. Let's give credit where it's due!

It's always exciting to see more experienced survivors added to the dbd. This is incredible. I like how Ripley reacted to the alien in this, with no horror or screams, but rather swift action and reaction. We all wanted this to happen at some point, but part of me thought it would never happen. Nonetheless, it has now done in a right way.

The alien is fantastically designed, right down to the second mouth, and THIS is how you pay honor to a property. Thank you, BHVR; the map and ripple are also excellent. The trailer is excellent! I've seen some of the game play, and this chapter appears to be fantastic. Behavior deserves kudos for getting and successfully utilizing this license!
