Kevin Eastman’s The Last Ronin, a TMNT story set in a hypothetical dark future where Michelangelo is the last living Turtle, was a huge hit for publisher IDW. It made the New York Times bestseller list and drove the company to introduce expansions like a prequel called Lost Years and even a book consisting of just the covers. Now it’s time for the next step, as Eastman and IDW announce The Last Ronin II. Turns out the Ronin wasn’t so “last” after all!

I thought The Last Ronin would be the end of the original comics' story, with Michelangelo as the last surviving Turtle. But then, there was a big surprise! They introduced a new generation of mutant turtles to continue the TMNT universe. These new furtles replaced the last original turtle who passed away. It's a cool way to keep the story going and also remember the old characters. I can't wait to see what happens next as the Next Generation Turtles protect New York. Casey and April ends up having a baby?

I'm thrilled that the new mutant turtles have names like Yi, Uno, Odyn, and Moja! It's fantastic to the names of the turles seem to have diverse origins in the TMNT universe. I can't wait to see how these Next Generation Turtles team up with Casey Marie to protect New York's future. Kudos to Kevin Eastman and the team for continuing after all he had been through.

The Last Ronin i will never be animated. I believe an animated version of The Last Ronin might lose its impact and intensity if it gets censored and watered down to suit a wider audience. As a fan, I worry that the gritty and shocking elements that make the story so powerful could be compromised. While I understand the need to cater to different age groups, it's crucial to maintain the original essence of the comic. be challenging due to its violent and shocking content. It is too dark but I enjoyed it. I do not want a watered down version of it.

I can't believe The Last Ronin is getting a sequel! It ended in a good note but I am still open minded to read this.

I'm not a fan of the new turtles trying to replace the OG ones; I find them pretty lame. "2nd generation" characters just don't have the same charm for me. I miss the original Ninja Turtles and their unique personalities. It's tough to see them being replaced by new characters that just don't resonate with me like the classics did.

I really want to read the original violent Ninja Turtles comics, but I don't know where to begin. There are so many of them, and I don't want to miss anything important. Can someone tell me where to start so I can enjoy the action-packed world of the original Ninja Turtles? Thanks!

It's cool to see some of the new Ninja Turtles being female. Back in the day, the original creator didn't like Venus de Milo, but now we have female turtles again, and that's awesome!
