60 GB PS3 price cut !!!

I'm surprised they did it this quick, of course they are launching a 80 gig version for the $599 price point

yeah and the first million units have a free game (motorstorm) bundled with it. btw, the sales have increased exponentially since the price drop which was announced only a few days ago!! I've read that the price drop caused a 2600% (26 more people buying it) jump in sales on amazon.com. link:

I find the pricing on these consoles somewhat amusing. I mean, you can go to Newegg.com and find 500GB hard drives (OEM) for less than one-hundred fifty dollars. Yet some how Sony wants me to believe a 20GB "upgrade" is worth a one hundred dollar price difference? Give me a break! :rolleyes2:
