I'm excited to see Michelle Yeoh in "Blade Runner 2099," but I can't help but wonder if the series will capture the same atmosphere as the original films, there's a lot of pressure there. Do you think they'll stick to the classic themes or go for something more new-age?

I was waiting for this one since they announced it. Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer together already feels like something special. Both of them know how to carry heavy emotional scenes without overacting. My only worry is pacing, eight episodes can drag if they are not careful, but if the writers keep the same mood from the trailer, I am fully on board.

Not gonna lie, I am a bit tired of every franchise getting dragged into a streaming series format. Blade Runner worked because it was tight and focused. Spreading this out over eight episodes might water down what made the original films so powerful. I hope I am wrong but my expectations are low for now.

Hunter Schafer as a Blade Runner is such an interesting choice. She has that quiet intensity that fits this universe perfectly. Looking forward to seeing her take on something this heavy.
