Seeing Reina Mishima in Fatal Fury reminds me of how much I loved the classic fight scenes in the original Fatal Fury games. I was always a fan of the diverse characters, but the dramatic arcs and rivalries were what hooked me the most. How do you think Reina's character will add to the existing dynamics of the series?

Reina in Fatal Fury is such a random pick and I am here for it. Everyone expected Kazuya or Jin because they got the name value, but Reina has way more room to grow as a character. Giving her a spotlight outside Tekken might actually help Bandai push her as a real star instead of just another Mishima kid. My only worry is the 3D to 2D switch. Her whole style depends on movement options that do not exist in a 2D plane. If SNK just gives her generic strings with her face slapped on, that would be a waste. But if they nail it, this could be the most talked about guest character in years. I am setting my expectations in the middle for now.

Tokyo Revengers in a fighting game still feels strange to me no matter how many times I read it. Mikey and Draken are anime brawlers, not trained fighters with special moves and combos. I get that crossovers sell copies but this is stretching the roster theme pretty thin at this point.

I like that SNK went back to Laocorn. Not every DLC character needs to come from the newest game or be a popular guest from another franchise. Fatal Fury has a long history, and the animated movie is part of that history. Bringing him back gives older fans something to appreciate while introducing the character to people who never watched the film. I hope SNK puts some effort into his story content, too. It would be disappointing if he were only there to fill a roster slot. There are plenty of old characters from fighting games that deserve another chance, and I hope other developers take notes.

Mikey and Draken are the strangest picks for me. I understand the appeal of Tokyo Revengers, but I want to know how their moves will work against characters who have actual martial arts training and supernatural abilities. Are they going to fight like ordinary street brawlers, or will SNK give them exaggerated fighting-game moves? I am not against the crossover. I just hope they feel like proper characters rather than anime guests added for marketing. Their animations could make this work, especially if SNK captures the difference between their personalities. I will wait for gameplay before deciding whether I like this addition.

My main concern is the price. I like guest characters, and Reina is a cool choice, but these season passes can get expensive when you keep buying them. Seven fighters sound good on paper, yet I still want to know what else comes with the season. Are we getting proper character episodes, new stages, or anything that makes the package feel complete? I am tired of paying extra for individual characters when the base game already costs money. Reina has my attention, but I will probably wait for a sale before spending more.

I actually prefer Reina over Kazuya and Jin for this crossover. Kazuya has appeared in so many games that another guest appearance would not surprise me. Jin would also be an understandable choice, but Reina has a different personality and fighting style that could make her stand out in South Town. She is confident, aggressive, and unpredictable. Those traits fit the Fatal Fury setting pretty well. The big question is whether SNK can make her feel like Reina without making her too powerful. I hope they take the time to balance her properly because nobody wants another character who dominates online matches for weeks.

Geese went to Tekken, now a Mishima comes to Fatal Fury, and honestly this timeline makes sense to me. These two franchises have been circling each other for years, this was bound to happen eventually and I am glad it finally did.
