Surge sounds like such a fun project, especially with Vincent J. Roth taking the lead. I love seeing indie superhero films pop up, especially when they bring something unique to the table, like original characters and stories. The energy he puts into the role reminds me of how passionate folks like Robert Rodriguez are about creating superhero worlds outside the big studio systems. Did you catch any of the fight choreography in their previous work? I hope this has some well-crafted action scenes that highlight practical effects!

Finally! I remember watching the first Surge movie on a scratchy DVD back in college and thinking this guy has more guts than budget. Respect to Vincent Roth for keeping his passion project alive for so many years. Low budget doesn't mean low heart, and honestly some of these big studio films with huge money look more boring than this one probably will. Getting Nichelle Nichols in her final performance is honestly kind of touching too, that adds real weight to the whole thing.

I did not know indie superhero movies could pull this many veteran sci-fi actors into one project. Tim Russ, Robert Picardo, Sam J Jones, that is basically a convention lineup, not a cast list. Vincent Roth clearly has friends in high places or a lot of goodwill built up over the years. Makes me curious how he manages to convince so many recognizable names to keep coming back film after film for something this small scale.

Reading through the schedule, seems like they really planned this premiere carefully with the red carpet, media RSVP, and public screenings spread across the week. Good organization for an indie release honestly.
