The Court of Owls is such a fascinating part of Batman lore! It totally reminds me of when I read "Batman: Court of Owls" for the first time, it really redefined the way we view Gotham's history and its hidden threats. The whole idea of a secret society pulling the strings adds such depth to the narrative, and I can't wait to see how they integrate that into this film.

Honestly Court of Owls ruining the Wayne murder origin is my biggest fear too. That random mugging is what makes Bruce relatable, it could happen to anyone. Turn it into a conspiracy and suddenly Batman is just fighting his own social class drama instead of representing regular people who lost someone to senseless violence. I hope Reeves finds a way to keep both things true somehow, maybe the Court exists but had nothing to do with the parents specifically. That would be a good compromise honestly. Still trusting him after part one though, that movie respected the source material a lot more than most recent superhero films did.

I actually like Court of Owls when done right, the comics version with Snyder writing was genuinely creepy. Talons killing people for centuries, hidden nursery rhymes, whole thing gave me chills reading it first time. Movies rarely nail horror elements in superhero stories but Reeves clearly wants dark tone based on first film so maybe this works out fine for once.

The Wayne murder being random has always been overrated as a story point honestly, giving Gotham crime an actual root cause through the Court makes the city feel more real instead of just chaotic for no reason. Every city has systemic issues, corruption from top down, it does not need magic conspiracy owls but the concept itself is not the problem people think it is.

Not gonna lie the wealth inequality protest angle sounds more timely and grounded than any owl secret society plot could ever be, if they blend real world anger with comic book weirdness properly this could be one of the more socially relevant superhero movies in years, fingers crossed writers dont mess up the balance between grounded politics and campy comic lore because that mix is genuinely hard to pull off well
