This was such a long read but I finished all of it. I am really happy that you got through your health problems and still made it to these shows. The part about Loretta Swit meeting you again before she passed was very touching. Also so sorry about Kevin and Rocky, losing two people who mean so much to a community is never easy. Cancer really takes too many good people. I hope the October show goes well and that your health stays stable this time.

Eric Roberts really is everywhere, I swear he is in every low budget movie made in the last twenty years. Good that he finally made it after missing the other show because of Dancing With The Stars. Also nice to see Gina Gershon doing sketches at conventions now, that is a fun extra thing for fans to get.

Respect for going to all these shows while dealing with surgery and hospital stays. Most people would just stay home. Keep going.

The Diane Franklin story about her always saying it is in the book is funny but also a good lesson. I did the same mistake before interviewing someone without reading their book first and it went badly. Glad you learned early on even if it took a while to actually apply it. Reading up on someone before you talk to them shows respect for their work anyway.

I have to be honest, the part where you apologized to David Clennon for supporting the Iraq war stuff felt a bit out of place next to all the autograph stories. Not saying you should not have feelings about it, just seemed random mixed in with celebrity meetups. Still liked reading about the actors though, Kent McCord and the Predator 2 talk was interesting.

 

[Shady Side]

James Tolkan passing not long after signing your card is really sad. Small moments like that get more meaning after someone is gone. Glad you got that memory with him before it happened.

Loved reading about the Animal House cast members, Eliza Roberts and Peter Riegert and James Widdoes all in one convention weekend must have been great for a fan of that movie. The TBS edited version story made me remember watching censored movies on cable too, we all have that memory from growing up.
