This series sounds heavy from episode one, a birthday turning into a tragedy at sea is not something I expected. The switched identity plot reminds me of a lot of old school dramas but this one feels darker because of how it started. I think I would like to see how Ko Joon-Young grows into her talent naturally, that part sounds beautiful. Song Yeon-Woo choosing to keep lying as an adult is where I lose sympathy too, a scared kid is one thing but a grown woman with full understanding is different. I might check this out just for the food scenes honestly, cooking dramas always make me hungry while watching. The rivalry between the mothers setting up the whole story is a smart writing choice.

The masked chef subplot is giving me main character energy for Kim Do-Yoon, his backstory with his mother sounds more interesting than the main leads honestly. I want a whole drama just about him and Baek Seol-Hee's relationship, that feels like it has more depth than the love triangle stuff.

I get what you mean about wanting clear good and evil lines. Some dramas try to make the villain sympathetic till the end and it just confuses the message. If Song Yeon-Woo did bad things on purpose as an adult then the show should show consequences clearly, otherwise what is even the lesson here. I still might watch it though because the premise with the two mothers and the tragic accident sounds like it sets up something emotional. Sometimes messy endings still make for compelling watches even if they frustrate us.

Honestly the summary alone made me feel things, especially the part where the dying mother mistakes the wrong child for her own. That scene must be hard to watch on screen. I can already tell this drama is going to make me cry multiple times if the acting is done well. The mother who lost her mind searching for her real daughter and then convincing herself the wrong girl is hers, that is such a tragic kind of denial. I hope the show treats her illness with care and does not just use it as a plot device. Adding it to my watchlist for sure, thanks for breaking down all the characters so clearly, it really helped me understand who is who before starting.
