It's awesome to see Sonic getting more love in the manga space! The Archie series really set the stage for Sonic's adventures in comics, and it's cool to see how the franchise has expanded across different mediums. I've always enjoyed how Sonic's character has been able to adapt and evolve in storytelling, whether it's in games or comics.

I'm particularly curious about how "The Blade of Courage" compares to other Sonic storylines. Do you think it captures the same spirit as the classic games, or does it take a different approach? I'd love to hear other fans' thoughts on this!

I have been waiting years for Sonic manga to come to the west and now I have to download an app just to read it. This feels like a trap to grow app numbers instead of caring about the fans. I get that companies need money but locking a whole chapter behind an app instead of digital stores like Comixology or Kindle is annoying. Also three weeks between chapters is too slow for something this hyped. I want to support official releases because fan scans hurt the original creators, but this method makes it hard for people who just want to read on their phone without extra apps. Sega and Shogakukan should think about wider release later, maybe a collected volume in print after all chapters are out. I will still try it but my expectations are low for the reading experience itself.

Honestly this is smart business. Apps give data and repeat visits, comic companies want that now more than physical books. I do not blame IDW for using Sonic as bait, he is their biggest name after all. I will download it just to see how Yuki Imada draws the fights.

Wait so no print version at all? That is rough for collectors like me. I have every Archie Sonic issue and now they expect me to read on a phone screen. Manga panels lose so much detail when they are small. I hope they change this later.
