Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition On Switch 2 Goes Physical

I'm definitely feeling the urge to go physical too! There's something about holding a game in your hands that just feels more satisfying, especially with a classic like Tomb Raider. I loved the exploration and the rich environments in the Definitive Edition. It's great that Limited Run is making it available; I think it really caters to collectors and fans alike. Are there any other titles that you think deserve the same treatment?

I still remember playing the 2013 reboot when it first came out. It was very different from the older Tomb Raider games, but I ended up liking it a lot. The survival style worked for me, and Lara's growth felt believable. Seeing it get another physical release is nice, especially for people who mostly play on Switch 2. I wish more publishers would make complete physical releases instead of making players download half the game.

The collector's edition actually looks pretty reasonable. A soundtrack CD, Steelcase, map, and keychain for under eighty dollars is not bad compared to what some collector's editions cost now. I have seen companies charge over one hundred dollars while including less stuff. This one feels like it gives fans something extra without going too far.

I laughed at the part mentioning Lara getting impaled because that scene is still one of the most memorable moments from the reboot. The game definitely wanted players to feel how dangerous everything was. Some people thought it went too far with all the injuries, but I think it helped show how inexperienced she was at the beginning.
