Stranger Things Cartoon Launches Merch Machine Of Its Own

It’s exciting to see the Stranger Things universe expand with a cartoon, especially since the original series has such a strong nostalgic vibe. The ‘80s aesthetic really resonates with fans, and it sounds like the cartoon is going to build on that. I'm curious about how they’ll incorporate elements from the live-action series, maybe some familiar characters will make appearances? Merchandising has always been a big part of the franchise, so a new wave of collectibles tied to the show can only be good news for fans. What kind of merch are you hoping to see? I personally can’t wait for some retro-style toys!

I actually like how fast they confirmed another season. It makes sense because animation takes time, so they probably planned it from the start. I don’t see that as a problem. What caught my attention more is the toys. The figures look very colorful and simple, which feels right for something set in the 80s. I like that Eleven comes with a waffle because that detail is very specific to her character. The blacklight feature with Will is also interesting. It gives people a reason to collect more than one figure, not just pick their favorite. I think that’s smart marketing, even if some people will say it’s forcing buyers. The McDonald’s idea feels predictable but still fun. Kids will enjoy the game part more than the toy, I think. Overall, this looks like a big push to make the cartoon stand on its own, not just as an extra for the main show.

The figures look decent, but I wouldn’t say they are must-have items. The blacklight feature is probably the most creative part, even if it’s also a sales trick. The McDonald’s idea is fine, but I think the game part will matter more than the small figures. Kids today expect something interactive. About the second season, I don’t see any issue. Animation takes a long time, so of course they started early. I think people sometimes forget how production works. For me, the main question is whether the story will be strong enough to keep people watching, not how many toys they can sell.

What stands out to me is how everything is connected. The show, the toys, the fast food promotion, and even the mobile game all support each other. It’s not just one product, it’s a whole system. I think that’s why the second season is already ready. They need continuity to keep everything moving. The figures look fine, but I think the blacklight feature will be the main selling point. It gives people a reason to interact with them instead of just displaying them. The McDonald’s promotion is predictable but effective. A lot of people will see it there first before they even watch the show. I think this is more about expanding the brand than anything else.
