Elle Fanning as Martha is the best part she looks so lost in that crazy family. The brothers and sister fight and play mind games the whole time. The director shows how money does not fix anything. Some scenes are funny in a dark way some are just sad. Not for everyone but I liked the mix of comedy and thriller. The Catalonia setting makes it look even more fancy. Solid 6.5 for me.

I thought this would be better with all the names attached. Elle Fanning is always good but here the movie feels empty. The family acts strange for no clear reason and the wolf attack on the mom is just thrown in. Jamie Bell and Pamela Anderson do what they can. It tries to say something about rich people but does not go deep. Average watch at best. The old 1965 film sounds more interesting from the ratings.

Rosebush Pruning has style for sure. The clothes the house the way it is shot everything looks expensive. Elle Fanning and the rest of the cast fit perfectly in that rich world. The story about the siblings and their problems is interesting enough to keep you going. I did not love the ending but the journey was nice. If you are into European style dark comedies this one is decent. Worth checking on MUBI if you like that vibe.

Not my kind of movie at all. Too much talking and staring at each other in a fancy villa. Elle Fanning tries hard but even she cannot save the weak story. The whole thing about the dead mother and family secrets is old news in films like this. Callum Turner looks good but his character is boring. I turned it off halfway. The ratings are right this time. Save your time for something better.

Wow the family in Rosebush Pruning is next level messed up. Elle Fanning walks into their world and you can see her getting more confused every minute. I liked Jamie Bell as the oldest brother who wants to leave but cannot. The dark comedy parts made me smile. It is not scary but the atmosphere feels heavy. Good performances all around especially Riley Keough. I think people who like slow burning thrillers will enjoy it more than regular action fans.

Rosebush Pruning tries to be funny and serious at the same time but it only half works. Elle Fanning is cute and does a solid job as the outsider but the family feels too fake sometimes. Callum Turner and Lukas Gage play the brothers in a weird way that made me laugh a bit. The house in Catalonia is beautiful to look at. Still the story is slow and the ending left me thinking what was the point. Better than some blockbusters but not great.
