I finished Shark: The Beginning yesterday and still thinking about it. The way they show both the physical and mental training is impressive. Cha Woo-Sol goes from someone who flinches at everything to a guy who faces his old bully without fear. That final confrontation? Chef’s kiss. The movie doesn’t drag, keeps tension the whole time. Wi Ha-Joon is unreal as always. If you want a story about real growth and payback, don’t sleep on this one. Sequel hype is real now.

Straight up, the injustice in this movie is infuriating. Kid tries to transfer schools to escape bullies, then gets punished for fighting back? Come on. But that’s what makes the transformation so good. Training parts are intense, you believe he’s getting stronger. Wi Ha-Joon’s mentor role is perfect, calm but deadly. Fights feel grounded. I liked how it’s not just about beating people up, it’s about inner strength. Definitely worth the watch, especially free on Tubi.

I don’t usually watch Korean movies like this but a friend pushed me and I’m glad. The theme of not bowing to anyone sticks with you. Cha Woo-Sol’s journey from weak to unbreakable is done right, no shortcuts. The mentor-student dynamic is strong, Jung Do-Hyun has that quiet respect factor. Fights are realistic, not superhero stuff. Ending confrontation was perfect payoff. Already told three people to watch it.

This one surprised me. Thought it would be just another teen action flick but it’s deeper. The prison stuff feels heavy, not glorified. Kim Min-Suk does a great job showing the fear turning into determination. Wi Ha-Joon as the fallen champion is gold, his quiet intensity carries so many scenes. The revenge part at the end feels deserved, not forced. Good mix of heart and punches. Watched free on Tubi and zero regrets. 9/10 easy.

Wi Ha-Joon is the reason I wanted to watch this film. But I have to say I liked both of the actors. They had solid onscreen chemistry.
