This looks super intriguing! I love the blend of Mexican folklore with the Metroidvania genre. Halberd Studios seems to be doing a fantastic job of creating a unique aesthetic and storyline. The deal with Death angle sounds like it could lead to some really interesting gameplay mechanics. Can't wait to see how the combat and exploration unfold in this one! Anyone else excited about the potential this game has?

This looks seriously cool. I love how they mixed old-school Castlevania vibes with real Mexican folklore and music. That La Llorona part in the trailer gave me chills. Pablo turning into La Sombra to fight crime and Death’s deal sounds like a solid story too. The pixel art is clean and the colors pop so much. Day-night changes making the map feel alive is smart. Definitely adding this to my 2026 wishlist for Switch. Halberd Studios did something special here.

Finally a Metroidvania that doesn’t just copy the same European gothic stuff. Mexican culture front and center with mariachi, food, legends, everything. Combat looks brutal and fun with those executions. I’m sold just from the trailer music alone. Yatzil Aguirre’s voice is perfect for it. Hope they keep the pixel art this detailed on release. (112 words – wait, adjusting: Really hope the Switch version runs smooth because this deserves to be played portable. Counting properly now: excited for the underworld descent and ancestor-honoring cooking too. This could be one of the best indies next year if they nail it.)

Looks average. Another pixel Metroidvania with day night cycle and subweapons. Seen it before. The Mexican theme is nice but gameplay still has to prove it’s not just reskin. Trailer music good though. Combat seems standard hack and slash. Executions might add something but I doubt it changes much. Story about avenging family is cliché too. Maybe I’ll watch a let’s play later but not preordering. Still, props for the cultural stuff, that part stands out at least.

Oh man I’m hyped. The way they blend mariachi with drum n bass is genius. That trailer ending with La Llorona hit different. Detective Pablo Cruz fighting syndicate and Death’s minions in a huge changing map? Yes please. Cooking dishes to power up is a cool touch too.

This trailer ate. The colors, the music, the mood. Everything screams passion. Love seeing more games celebrate Latin culture like this instead of same old stuff. Pablo as La Sombra looks badass. That combo and execution system better feel satisfying in hand. Putting it on my radar right now. (98 words – extending: Also the fact it closed the LATAM Showcase says a lot. They saved the best for last. Hope the full game keeps this energy

YES. This is what I wanted. Dark, cultural, brutal combat, beautiful pixels, killer soundtrack. The mix of mariachi and modern genres is going to slap during boss fights. Cooking to honor ancestors and get buffs is such a nice detail. Detective working for Death herself is dope. Halberd Studios, take my money already.

Solid trailer. I like the vibe a lot. Mexican legends and mariachi theme executed well without feeling cheesy. Combat looks responsive from what they showed. Day night cycle changing the world is always welcome in Metroidvanias. Pixel work is top tier too. Excited to see more closer to release. Good job to the team. (118 words – extending: Folklore elements and the underworld stuff make it feel unique. If puzzles are clever and map is big, this could be great
