Hey! It’s always interesting when a month doesn't have a big crossover, right? It feels like a chance for the characters to really develop and tackle their own challenges without being pulled into a massive event. I'm curious to see how Gotham’s under Commissioner, during such a structured time, will affect the stories. What characters are you most excited to see in this setup?

This is the kind of month where I end up spending too much money. Absolute Catwoman #1 with Che Grayson, Snyder, and Bengal? Yes. Globe-trotting mystery with high-tech Selina is exactly what I want from her. Then Absolute Green Arrow looking like a horror movie poster in comic form. The Gotham books with Savage feel urgent—Batman hunted, Oracle arrested. It's good tension. The back issues are stacked too—Kingdom Come omnibus, that Veitch Swamp Thing finally printed. MAD #600 anniversary start is random but fun.

I'm so hyped for Absolute Green Arrow. Pornsak Pichetshote and Albuquerque doing a straight-up murder mystery with archers as suspects? That's genius. Dinah as executive protection specialist is a great change. The whole Absolute line is doing genre stuff right instead of just "elseworlds but cooler." And then you have Barbara Gordon locked up, which is going to be dark with Tamaki writing it. Poison Ivy mayor drama is interesting too. Even the Lobo psych eval sounds entertaining. DC has a strong month here, no weak links. The omnibuses are bonus.

Wow, DC is really leaning into this "power corrupts institutions" thing everywhere. Poison Ivy learning politics sucks, Aquaman playing galactic cop with lighthouses, even Deathstroke breaking some killer code. It's consistent at least. But Barbara Gordon: Breakout #1 has me worried—she's one of my favorites and getting sent to Supermax sounds rough. Tamaki writes her so well though, so maybe it'll be great. The Absolute books are the most exciting part for me. Green Arrow murder mystery is clever, and Catwoman globe-trotting is different.

Okay, I'm not usually into the Absolute line but Absolute Green Arrow #1 has me interested. A killer taking out billionaires with green arrows and Dinah investigating other archers? That's smart. Sounds like a proper thriller instead of just another superhero book. The whole month has this vibe where power is getting locked up in big organizations and nobody likes it. Even Lobo has to do psych evals now, lol. Poison Ivy as mayor getting pushed around is interesting too. I think the Barbara Gordon: Breakout #1 is going to be the one I pick up first though—Tamaki and Nahuelpan together again? Yes please. The backlist stuff is nice but I'm more excited for new stories that actually feel risky.
