Saw it years back and honestly the action holds up better than most Hollywood stuff from that time. The gunfights are crazy detailed and the comedy never feels forced. People sleep on Lee Byung-hun in this one—he’s terrifying. Only complaint is sometimes the pacing jumps around too much if you’re not paying attention. Still a solid 8/10 for me. Glad it’s easy to find on Apple TV now. 1

Finally someone talks about this gem! It’s one of the few Korean films that actually feels like a real Western but still 100% Korean. The 1930s Manchuria setting with Japanese occupation in the background adds real tension. Not just silly chases. I prefer it over a lot of modern K-movies because it doesn’t drag. Song Kang-ho is hilarious as always. Worth the watch if you want something

Do you know how many times I passed on writing a review? Then I thought this was one of the first K-dramas I watched when I was a newbie. It's a one-of-a-kind treasure, in my opinion. I didn't know any of these actors at the time. But it was so wonderfully wacky and wild and weird. Also, I thought it was a nice homage to “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly”.
