This review got me interested again. I remember watching Roman Holiday back when it came out and thinking the three friends had real chemistry. Im Chang-Jung carries the emotional weight so naturally – you feel his character's quiet frustration. The comedy comes from their mistakes, not slapstick, which I prefer. Hiding in a nightclub named after the famous movie is a clever touch. It's not trying to be deep philosophy, just a story about guys who want one big change in life. The ratings are average, but sometimes average is exactly what you need for a fun night. Streaming on Apple TV makes it easy too.

Okay, hear me out – this movie is underrated. People sleep on it because the ratings aren't high, but the way it shows middle-aged friendship is spot on. These three aren't heroes or villains, just normal men tired of the same routine. The robbery scene is hilarious because they're so bad at it, yet they pull it off. Then the real trouble starts with cops and gangsters chasing them. Jung Sang-Hoon as the careful one is great – you see him torn the whole time. I laughed, I felt for them, and the ending hits nicely. If you like crime comedies with actual people in them, watch this.

Meh. Another "desperate men do crime" story. Seen it too many times. The friendship angle is fine, but it doesn't save the predictable plot. They rob the truck, it goes wrong, chase happens, hide somewhere – yawn. The humor might save it if the timing is good, but from the description, it feels average. Im Chang-Jung is solid, but the others don't stand out much to me. If it's free on YouTube, maybe I'll skip through parts. Otherwise, plenty of better Korean comedies out there. Not excited.

Saw this back in 2018 on a random weekend. Wasn’t expecting much but the three leads made it work. Kong Hyung-Jin is hilarious as the impulsive one – every line he says cracks me up even now. The heist is chaotic and dumb, which is the point, but then it gets real when they’re running and hiding. The nightclub scenes are gold. Not the best movie ever, but the chemistry felt real. Like watching my own uncles argue over stupid stuff. Solid for what it is.

Back when it came out in 2017 I watched because someone said it’s like a Korean version of old-guy buddy movies. They weren’t wrong. The crime plot is silly, they barely pull anything off. But the real story is these three men clinging to their bond while life falls apart. Jung Sang-Hoon as the cautious one is spot on – always saying “this is bad” but still going along. Funny in parts, touching in others. Good watch.

It made me curious so I looked to see if I could find a real nightclub specifically named “Roman Holiday.” There are none. But why? It's such a cool name.

A real feel-good comedy. Right?
