Nintendo Reports Encouraging Numbers For Switch, Switch 2

Switch 2 is doing great honestly. Outpacing the first one every month, 15 million quick, now 17 million with months left? They’ll hit over 19 million easy. Original Switch at 155 million now, second best console ever, PS2 is close. Digital up to 58% because physical third-party is garbage with key cards. Paying $60 more for a cartridge is wild. Only real letdown is Metroid Prime 4 under a million. No ads, Kirby stole the spotlight, fans hated it after years of development issues. Feels like they just gave up and dumped an unfinished game. Samus deserved way more effort.

These Switch numbers are better than I thought they’d be. Switch 2 moving faster than the original every month is a good sign. 17 million already, they’re gonna pass 19 million no sweat. First Switch at 155 million passing DS record is awesome, PS2 is only 5 million away. Digital climbing to 58% isn’t weird when physical third-party feels worthless. $80 for a cartridge vs $20 digital is stupid expensive. Metroid Prime 4 selling so low is sad. Nintendo didn’t market it, pushed Kirby instead, then people said it sucked. After all that restart drama, they probably just threw it out there. Disappointing.

Switch 2 sales looking strong. 15 million in half the time the first one took? Respect. 17 million so far, 19 million target is in the bag. Original Switch still killing it at 155+ million, almost PS2. Digital sales up a little because who’s buying overpriced physical third-party junk now. That Mario Wonder price difference is ridiculous. Metroid Prime 4 is the weak spot. No promotion, bad fan reaction, super long troubled development… feels like Nintendo gave up and released whatever they had left. They should’ve done better for that game.

Honestly impressed with Switch 2 numbers. Beating the 2017 Switch pace every month and already at 17 million with four months to go is solid work. They’ll beat their 19 million goal easy. OG Switch at 155 million now, second highest ever, PS2 is next if it keeps selling. Digital at 58% makes total sense when physical prices are insane and third-party carts are basically pointless. $20 digital vs $80 physical upgrade is daylight robbery. Metroid Prime 4 flopping is disappointing. Nintendo ignored it, fans hated the final product after forever in dev. Probably just tired and shipped it. Poor Samus.

Damn, Switch 2 is performing way better than I expected. Faster sales pace than the original every month, 17 million already? They’re golden. First Switch hitting 155 million and passing DS is huge, only 5 million from PS2 throne. Digital creeping up isn’t surprising, physical third-party is dead with those key cards. Paying $80 extra for cartridge is crazy. Metroid Prime 4 tanking under a million sucks. No real marketing push, Kirby got all the attention, then reviews were bad. After years of restarts, it feels like they just dumped it. Hope the series recovers.

These figures make me happy. Switch 2 outselling the first one’s early months by a lot is proof it’s not a failure. Already close to 19 million prediction with time left. Original still strong at over 155 million, almost PS2 level. Digital going to 58% is normal when physical third-party games feel worthless now. That price gap for upgrades is painful for anyone who likes owning carts. Metroid Prime 4 is the only bad news. Barely advertised, came out weak, fans disappointed. Long development hell probably means they forced it out unfinished. Nintendo owes Samus a real comeback.

Switch 2 selling faster than the first one every month is actually impressive. 17 million already with months left? They’re gonna smash their own prediction easy. Original Switch passing DS to become #2 all-time console is legendary status. Only 5 million from PS2 now, it might actually do it. Digital at 58% isn’t shocking when physical prices are crazy high for third parties. $80 for a physical Wonder copy is robbery. Metroid Prime 4 under a million hurts though. Nintendo basically ignored it for Kirby and then fans hated the release. After restarting development forever, they probably just shipped whatever was ready. Samus got done dirty.
